The First Cadaveric Lung Transplantation Workshop

This workshop will stress on the role of lung transplantation as a valid treatment of end stage pulmonary disease. The active contribution of the attending thoracic or cardiac surgeon in such highly demanding intervention will give him the opportunity to explore pulmonary resections via the uncommonly used Clamshell approach. In addition, it will demonstrate how to actively deal with the airway post transplantation. The Academic course will feature an important scientific content in the field of lung transplantation, its perquisites and management.
