Unique Program Components

We have been training cardiac surgeons for more than 50 years at Loma Linda. Our residents graduate with the necessary skills to go into competitive fellowships and 50% of our residents go directly into private practice. We have apart from well rounded adult cardiac program, we have an extremely busy congenital cardiac service with 1-2 cases every day and no advanced fellows. Our general thoracic program is also a comprehensive minimally invasive and robotic program providing case numbers to the cardiac track resident that supersede those required for a thoracic track resident.
