CTSNet Editor in Chief Joel Dunning spoke with Professor Amy Fiedler, a heart transplant surgeon at University of California San Francisco, about her experience and success as an early career surgeon. Prof. Fiedler tells the story of how she became a transplant surgeon and completing the first all-female team heart transplant. She also gives advice on how to succeed as a cardiac surgeon during residency and early career.
