CTSNet Editor in Chief Joel Dunning spoke with Professor Marc Ruel, the president of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, about how coronary artery surgery has changed in recent years. Prof. Ruel discussed new procedures to treat coronary pathologies and the importance of minimally invasive techniques. He emphasizes the increased specialization among cardiac surgeons who perform CABG and the resulting innovation in the area.
