Dealing With Complications in VATS Surgery
Shanda Blackmon of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, gives an in-depth talk on the prevention and management of intraoperative events during VATS lobectomies. Using footage recorded during VATS cases, Dr. Blackmon gives helpful tips for dealing with potentially catastrophic events. “Don’t ever lose vigilance,” Dr. Blackmon urges. “The best way to avoid an unexpected event is to prevent it."
