Innovation and Resilience: The 2023 ISMICS Keynote Addresses
Two inspiring keynote addresses were made at the 2023 Innovation, Technologies, and Techniques in Cardiothoracic and Cardiovascular/Vascular Surgery (ISMICS) Annual Meeting in early June. First, Robert S. D. Higgins of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine touched on the future of the field in “Innovation in Healthcare—Can We Live Without It?”
Next up, former Chief of Thoracic Surgery at University of Minnesota and physician life coach Michael Maddaus explained his philosophy for patient care and career stretegy in “Filled Up Life or Fulfilled Life: It’s a Choice.”
