At the Transcatheter Heart Valves Greece 2024 conference, leading surgeons delivered presentations on various aspects of the mitral valve. Philippe Pibarot addressed “Patient Selection for M-TEER,” discussing severity of secondary mitral regurgitation (MR) and proportionality framework in secondary MR. M. Chrissoheris focused on “Imaging in Pre and Post M-TEER,” exploring transillumination imaging (TI) with transparency and fossa ovalis 3D visualization. Markus Kasel presented on “TAVI for Aortic Regurgitation,” highlighting TEER-devices and timing of intervention. Mony Shuvy discussed “M-TEER in Cardiogenic Shock,” examining diagnosis of acute severe MR and the clinical spectrum of acute severe MR. Peyman Sardari Nia focused on “Surgical Techniques for MR,” highlighting minimally invasive mitral valve surgery and complex Barlow valves.
