Uniportal VATS is a useful approach to perform wedge resections of intraparenchymal pulmonary nodules without diagnosis and to carry out a lobectomy in cases of non-small cell lung cancer with totally incomplete fissures.

Stage 3 organized pleural effusions are a relative contraindication to thoracoscopic decortications. This video demonstrates a left-sided single incision thoracoscopic decortication procedure for stage 3 organized pleural effusion, in a patient previously treated for pulmonary tuberculosis with pleural effusion.

Radiotracer-guided localization of pulmonary nodules was introduced in 2000, with subsequent studies confirming its reproducibility and reliability. As more frequent small, asymptomatic masses are being identified, this technique could prevent unnecessary thoracotomies and preserve lung parenchyma.

Extrapleural pneumonectomy is a surgical resection option for the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma. This video shows a right-sided extrapleural pneumonectomy on a 60-year-old woman with mesothelioma.

A variety of approaches for surgical management of myasthenia gravis and thymoma have been described. There is a growing experience with VATS approaches to the management of each of these conditions. One approach to VATS thymectomy is described in this article and the accompanying videos.

Congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) of the lung is a rare congenital malformation. This anomaly has been rarely described in adults when in association with bronchial and vascular atresia. There are few reports in the literature describing thoracoscopic lobectomy in patients with this unusual anomaly. This video is the first report of a lung resection of a CCAM via a single-port thoracoscopy.

This video demonstrates a surgical technique for resection of a short pathologic segment of trachea with reconstruction by primary anastomosis.

The cause of pectus deformities is thought to be abnormal elongation and/or distorsion of the rib cartilages. A simplified open repair is described based on the subperichondrial resection of the abnormal cartilages, and in the case of pectus excavatum, the use of an easily removable metallic strut.

Totalis Situs inversus (SIT) is an extremely rare condition. There are few reports in literature describing thoracic surgery in patients with this unusual anomaly. This video is the first report of a thoracoscopic lung resection of a pulmonary mass in a patient with SIT.
