Timothy M. Maul, CCP, PhD
Background
My background is as a biomedical engineering with experience in cell biology and tissue engineering (doctoral work), and device design experience in ventricular assist devices and oxygenators (postdoctoral work). I taught for the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh for 10 years in both the classroom and laboratory, and had been an ECMO Specialist and ECMO Coordinator for over 15 years prior to entering perfusion school. I am currently working with Dr. Peter Wearden to establish the cardiac surgery program at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL.
