CTSNet Launches New Allied Health Portal

To the CTSNet Community:

The CTSNet Allied Health Committee is excited to unveil a new portal designed to be a valuable resource for important, yet hard to find, information of interest to non-surgeon members of the cardiothoracic surgical community.  To anyone who has ever wished they could see someone else’s protocol, set-up, favorite resource, informative PowerPoint, interview, roundtable discussion, or amazing video,  we’ve compiled all of this and more in one easy-to-navigate online resource.  A community of advanced practice nurses, physicians’ assistants, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and surgeons (yes, we let them participate, too) cultivated such items from colleagues around the globe, in order to launch this portal.

This content is just a beginning - meant to generate interest and stimulate ideas for future contributions.  Smartphone videos and platforms such as Google Hangouts for group video calls are well suited for presentation in this portal.  Please consider submitting items that would be of interest to other cardiothoracic surgical care providers, in any number of formats, and helping to create a valuable online resource for you and your colleagues, furthering CTSNet’s mission to “advance education and collaboration in the global cardiothoracic surgical community through internet resources.”

To submit content to the CTSNet Allied Health Portal, click here. If you are interested in joining the Allied Health Committee, please fill out this form.

Sincerely,

Jill Ley
Chair, CTSNet Allied Health Committee
