The Society of Thoracic Surgeons invites you to attend its 54^th Annual Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. This premier educational event in cardiothoracic surgery will offer more interactivity and technology than ever before.

The meeting will be held January 27-31, 2018, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.

Immediately prior to the Annual Meeting, STS/AATS Tech-Con will focus on cutting-edge technologies and new developments in cardiothoracic surgery. A highlight of the day will be the Shark Tank session, in which entrepreneurs pitch their innovative cardiothoracic surgery products to the audience, as well as to a panel of experts in medical device development. Additionally, representatives of several companies developing robotic technology have been invited to present.

Annual Meeting programming runs from Sunday through Wednesday. “The meeting will be an unparalleled educational experience,” said STS President Richard L. Prager, MD. “This is an opportunity to meet colleagues and friends from around the world, hear new ideas and concepts, and learn from each other.”

Sessions will address all aspects of adult cardiac, general thoracic, and congenital heart surgery, as well as critical care, diversity in the cardiothoracic surgery workforce, research and quality improvement, and much more. The International Symposium will give attendees valuable insights into how infectious heart disease is treated surgically in different countries. All educational sessions on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are included with your Annual Meeting registration, and you’ll also receive free access to Annual Meeting Online. Tech-Con requires separate registration. You also may purchase separate tickets to the President’s Reception on Sunday evening and STS University courses on Wednesday.
