Submit Your Abstracts and Surgical Movies and Apply for the Prestigious Peter C. Pairolero Scholarship Award

The General Thoracic Surgical Club (GTSC) is thrilled to invite all passionate general thoracic medical professionals to be a part of the General Thoracic Surgical Club's 37th Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Coconut Point from March 6 - 9, 2025 in Bonita Springs, Florida. This event promises to be a hub of cutting-edge research and innovation in general thoracic surgery.  This meeting offers you an opportunity to present your abstracts, showcase your surgical brilliance during the GTSC Movie Night, and even apply for the prestigious Peter C. Pairolero Scholarship award. It's a chance to gain invaluable insights from experts in the field, engage in one-on-one discussions, and connect with like-minded peers. Our diverse group of Candidate, Associate, and Senior members from various backgrounds will be sharing the most current and ground-breaking developments in the field – This is your chance to be part of an inspiring knowledge exchange, foster collaborations, and take your expertise to new heights.

Abstracts

Do not miss your chance to submit an abstract for Poster Presentation at the GTSC 37th Annual Meeting! This prestigious event promises to serve as a platform where you can showcase your cutting-edge research, share invaluable insights, and foster collaborations with like-minded minds from across the nation. Embrace this unparalleled opportunity to make a profound impact on your field of expertise and gain recognition among the industry's finest. If your abstract is accepted, you'll have the opportunity to present your poster during the breaks on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Please note that travel, accommodation, and meeting registration will be the presenter's responsibility.

Medical students, general surgery residents, thoracic surgery residents, and fellows have the opportunity to win the coveted Society of Thoracic Surgeons Scholarship. The top two best posters will be awarded this prestigious scholarship, which covers hotel accommodations for the upcoming Annual Meeting (three nights room and tax only), meeting registration fee, and up to $750 reimbursement for travel expenses. We can't wait to see your brilliance on display!

 

Movie Night

Lights, camera, action! GTSC is thrilled to invite you to showcase your surgical talent at our "Movie Night," scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025, during our 37th Annual Meeting. This is your chance to present your exceptional surgical skills on the big screen and share your expertise with a captivated audience. To ensure compliance with ACCME and FDA regulations, we kindly ask all presenters to disclose any financial or non-remunerative interests related to their surgical videos. But wait, the excitement doesn't end there! The two surgical videos that receive the most votes by your peers will be honored with a certificate and a special GTSC prize package, recognizing your talent and dedication to thoracic surgery. Join us for an incredible night celebrating the artistry of surgery and medical innovation.

 

PCP Scholarship

GTSC is proud to continue its tradition of supporting aspiring medical professionals with the prestigious Peter C. Pairolero Scholarship. Three exceptional individuals - one medical student, one general thoracic surgery resident, and one general thoracic surgery fellow - will be honored during our esteemed Saturday evening Gala Dinner.

The scholarship covers hotel accommodations for three nights (room and tax only) at the upcoming Annual Meeting, along with the registration fee and reimbursement of up to $750 for travel expenses. It's our way of nurturing talent and fostering excellence in the field of thoracic surgery. We encourage self-nominations as well - don't hesitate to put your best foot forward! This is your chance to stand out, seize new opportunities, and be recognized for your dedication to the field of thoracic surgery!
