Surgeon Survey: What’s Your Role in Structural Heart Interventions?

A cohort of heart team representatives from several major medical institutions (see full list below) is conducting a study to assess the involvement of cardiothoracic surgeons in structural heart procedures.

They seek input via a survey from practicing cardiac surgeons from Europe, US, Canada, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand regarding their actual roles in structural heart interventions, including TAVRs, mitral/tricuspid TEERs and TMVRs/TTVRs.

Eligible surgeons, complete this survey by July 28, 2023 to be included in the results.

This study ultimately seeks to weigh the role of surgeons in the heart valve team and reinforce the concept of collaboration and multidisciplinary team decision making in structural heart interventions.

Once the results are collected and analyzed, the data will be included in a multicenter, international invited review publication on a peer-reviewed high impact factor journal.
