At the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs (ASAIO) 2024 Annual Conference, physician and engineer Dr. Roderic I. Pettigrew presented “Toward CV Health and Longevity: Perspectives on Microstructure, Flow, and Mechanosensing.” In his presentation, he discussed the cardiovascular health biological scales, cardiac strain imaging, and the architecture of myocardium. He also highlighted the importance of understanding the microarchitecture of myocardium, the effect of shear stress on vascular biology, and provided an overview of the Stanford HECTOR trial.
