The Benefits of LVRS for Treating Emphysema

Thursday, April 21, 2016

David Waller of Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, United Kingdom, discusses the current options available for the surgical treatment of emphysema. Dr. Waller evaluates the risks and benefits of endobronchial valves, endobronchial coils, and lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS). Using data from the NETT trial, Dr. Waller argues that LVRS is the best surgical option available for emphysema treatment.
