Very enlightening conversation. It is now proven that the SV can be harvested in a pedicle fashion. INTERVASC, LLC, an International Vascular Consulting company in Milwaukee WI, runs an advanced EVH teaching course weekly where the pedicle harvesting has been done now for over 4 years. Recently with the assistance of Dr. Domingos Souza in Sweeden and his research, different versions are taught with the emphasis of preserving the PVAT,(Perivascular Adipose Tissue). This layer he has proven contains numerous important biochemical factors such as NO, NOS, Leptin, Adiponectin, the extremely important Vaso Vasorum, and providing the "biological stent" as mentioned. This EVH harvesting termed "GENTTL", (Gradual Endoscopic No Touch Technique and Ligation), can be performed will all levels of experienced harvesters. This is very exciting since now we can harvest the SV with all the benefits of "No Touch" with the enormous benefits of EVH.
