ESTS 2024 | Transition From mVATS to uVATS

At the 2024 European Society of Thoracic Surgeons meeting, Hiran C. Fernando delivered a speech on “Transition From mVATS to uVATS.” He discussed his experience with uniportal VATS in the United States, why surgeons use uVATS, and why pain should be less with uVATS compared to mVATS and mRATS. He also discussed pain control and analgesia use of mVATS verses uVATS and pain and functionality, satisfaction, and quality of life of mVATS versus uVATS and mVATS versus mRATS.
