Incorporated Aortomitral Homograft for Double-Valve Endocarditis: The "Hemi-Commando" Procedure

This video demonstrates a "hemi-commando" procedure in a 64-year-old female patient with aortic root abscess involving the intervalvular fibrosa. The hemi-commando procedure is a feasible treatment option for invasive double-valve endocarditis, and has the advantage of mitral valve preservation.

Hola José, soy Mariano Vrancic, del ICBA. Tengo un paciente para hacer esta cirugia el miercoles, asi que voy a tratar de reproducir tu técnica. Tengo algunas preguntas: Usas la misma hebra de prolene para toda la sutura del homoinjerto, empezando por la mitral? Hiciste la anuloplastia mitral por la insuficiencia mitral que tenia la paciente o hay que hacerla en todos los casos para evitarla? Muchas gracias, saludos y espero andar por la clinica en breve.
