At the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery Annual Meeting 2024, Max Baghai delivered a speech on port-access cardiac surgery (PACS) involving the mitral valve, tricuspid valve, ASD, cardiac tumors, and AF ablation. He discussed the indications for port access, relative contraindications, hurdles in port-access surgery, the advantages of a two-surgeon (buddy) approach, and different examples of port-access cardiac surgery.
