Sleeve Microlobectomy of the Right Upper Lobe
Tuesday, December 6, 2016
This video shows a sleeve microlobectomy of the right upper lobe. The patient presented with a 3 cm proximal tumor at the orifice of the right upper lobe. The authors utilized a microlobectomy approach, with three 5 mm ports in the intercostal spaces and a 12 mm subxiphoid port. All dissection was performed via the 5 mm ports with retraction through the 12 mm port. Stapling was performed using the 5 mm Dextera microcutter. The subxiphoid incision was extended to remove the lobe. The bronchus was re-anastomosed using continuous 4.0 V-lock sutures.
