At the Transcatheter Heart Valves Greece 2024 conference, leading surgeons delivered presentations on various aspects of aortic valves. Michael J. Reardon’s presentation “How Confident Is the TAVI Guidelines Shift From Operative Risk to Age?” highlighted SAVR vs TAVI age recommendations, TAVR mortality in randomized trials, and bioprosthetic valve dysfunction. Juan F. Granada presented “Transcatheter Aortic Valve Interventions: More Than a New Hope,” exploring challenges for current TAVR devices, future screening tools for valvular heat disease, and the evolution of TAVR leaflets.
