CTSNet Senior Editor Sameh Said spoke with Stefan Elde about total beating heart transplants. Dr. Elde addressed the three techniques for heart transplants and their outcomes, and the feasibility of the total beating heart transplant and its challenges. Dr. Elde also discussed his own professional background, why he chose cardiothoracic surgery, and his next research steps.
