Hans-Joachim Schaefers of Saarland University Medical Center, Homburg/Saar, Germany, compares the Yacoub and David procedures. Dr. Schaefers discusses the complexities of aortic valve structure, and his experiences with root remodeling versus re-implantation of the aortic valve.

Excellent talk . I think that very important tricks Is how to repair the cusp prolapse after suturing proximal tube graft . Second is how to get the commisure maximally elevated inside the tube graft to preserve normal intercommisural angles.
