Tricuspid valve repair with patch augmentation is used to overcome the valve regurgitation caused by malcoaptation of leaflets. This video shows the technique used when the anterior leaflet is too thin to hold the suture line safely; the possibility of tearing the leaflet after cutting and suturing exists. The augmentation was made at the annular level with no contact on the leaflet itself. This technique ensures a much more secure repair, as the suturing is only on the fibromuscular tissue. An artificial chordal support to the flail leaflet technique is also demonstrated.
