Background
I am a Canadian general thoracic surgeon independently licensed in Ontario and Minnesota with board certification in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
After completing medical school in Nottingham, England, I pursued general surgery and surgeon-scientist training (PhD) at the University of Toronto, thoracic surgery training at Western University, and am currently pursuing an advanced thoracic and robotic fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
My clinical interest is in thoracic and upper GI oncology, which aligns with my academic focus on system-level surgical quality improvement. I am also engaged in medical education, leadership, conference organization, and community service. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.
