Upcoming Webinar: Unifying Revascularization Guidelines Across Continents and Specialties

Saturday, 18 January 2025 Time: 10:00 a.m. CST (UTC-6) / 4:00 p.m. GMT (UTC+0).

This unique CTSNet webinar features Dr. Faisal Bakaeen, Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, leading a transatlantic panel of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons discussing the 2024 ESC guidelines for managing chronic coronary syndromes (CCS) and their impact on patient care in both Europe and the United States. The panel includes cardiothoracic surgeons Thorsten Doenst and Dawn Hui, and cardiologists Elmir Omerovic and Michael Farkouh.

The updated ESC guidelines provide a framework for diagnosing and treating suspected and confirmed cases of CCS. They emphasize using a risk factor-weighted model to better estimate the likelihood of obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD), which more accurately classifies patients into low-risk categories where further testing might not be needed. They offer detailed recommendations for anti-anginal medications, therapies to prevent events, adherence strategies and the selection of revascularization techniques based on recent research, and more.
