Program Information
- Traditional program with complete exposure to all elements of adult cardiac, aortic, and thoracic surgery
- Additional 4+3 pathway and 5+2 Vascular Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency option
- Two residents accepted per year
- Two positions available per year in the traditional program
- One position available per year in the 4+3 program or 5+2 program
- Adult cardiac and general thoracic tracks
- Residents rotate at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for their congenital experience
- Community hospital elective during Chief year
