This video demonstrates a left-sided single incision thoracoscopic decortication procedure for stage 3 organized pleural effusion, in a patient previously treated for pulmonary tuberculosis with pleural effusion.

Radiotracer-guided localization of pulmonary nodules was introduced in 2000, with subsequent studies confirming its reproducibility and reliability. As more frequent small, asymptomatic masses are being identified, this technique could prevent unnecessary thoracotomies and preserve lung parenchyma.

Congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) of the lung is a rare congenital malformation.This anomaly has been rarely described in adults when in association with bronchial and vascular atresia. There are few reports in the literature describing thoracoscopic lobectomy in patients with this unusual anomaly. This video is the first report of a lung resection of a CCAM via a single-port thoracoscopy.

Mini-sternotomy is being increasingly adopted for surgery of the aortic valve and ascending aorta. This adds greater complexity when compared to a standard median sternotomy approach. This video describes technical modifications that allow the surgeon to overcome these challenges in a case requiring deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA), aortic valve, and hemiarch repair.
