When the new iteration of CTSNet.org was launched recently, the Advanced Surgeon Search was more restrictive than on the old version of the website. However, Advanced Surgeon Search has now been updated to allow searching for cardiothoracic surgeons by geographical area and by subspecialty.

The cause of pectus deformities is thought to be abnormal elongation and/or distorsion of the rib cartilages. A simplified open repair is described based on the subperichondrial resection of the abnormal cartilages, and in the case of pectus excavatum, the use of an easily removable metallic strut.

The number of ports used in minimally invasive cardiac surgery can be reduced to one with the assistance of the latest technologies and a custom-made instrument. The authors demonstrate a novel single incision technique, where no other ports for instruments and no small incision for femoral cannulation is required.

Tricuspid valve regurgitation is not uncommon in patients with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and has been shown to be a significant factor affecting the success of staged surgical palliation in these patients. This video demonstrates tricuspid valve repair in an eleven-month-old male infant with hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

Totalis Situs inversus (SIT) is an extremely rare condition. There are few reports in literature describing thoracic surgery in patients with this unusual anomaly. This video is the first report of a thoracoscopic lung resection of a pulmonary mass in a patient with SIT.
