The authors developed a cost-effective, high-fidelity simulation for VATS wedge resection training using an ex-vivo porcine lung with simulated lung nodules in the form of cherry tomatoes affixed with cyanoacrylate glue that is assessed with an Objective Structured Assessment of Technical Skills (OSATS) tool.
