Background
Cardiovascular Surgeon with more than 9 years of experience in the field and specialized training in Ventricular Assist Devices and Heart Failure, Certificate of Advanced Studies from the University of Zurich in Structural Interventions of the Aortic Valve, and Fellow of EACTS Minimally Invasive Off-pump Coronary Artery Surgery. Member of different international societies in the area, active in research and academic events. Also active in the field of gender equality, diversity and inclusion, being at this moment the Chair of the Women in Cardiac Surgery Committee for LACES (Latin America Association of Cardiac and Endovascular Surgery) and the Co-Chair of international affairs of WTS (Women in Thoracic Surgery).
Currently, I am the medical leader of the Center of Excellence for Myocardial Revascularization of the Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia, accredited by JCI, and I am especially dedicated to my areas of Expertise in Complex Coronary Surgery and Mechanical Circulatory Support.
