Tricuspid valve disease
November 25, 2019
The authors analyzed what is the best management for tricuspid valve disease in adults. This is a retrospective study with 1,735 patients who received tricuspid valve repair and 806 patients who underwent replacement. Replacement was associated with increased late mortality. Tricuspid valve repair did not result in a higher risk of reoperation.
November 7, 2019
Aortic annulus size and shape were analyzed in computed tomography angiography after a reimplantation procedure in patients with bicuspid and tricuspid aortic valves. Prior to surgery, elliptic shape was observed in tricuspid valves and more circular shape in bicuspid valves.

This presentation discusses the experience of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals with endoscopic tricuspid valve surgery.
August 9, 2019
Retrospectively using a longitudinal echocardiography database, the authors analyzed the data of 3,276 patients with isolated severe tricuspids regurgitation (TR) from 2001 through 2016. Of these patients, 5% underwent tricuspid valve surgery.
July 10, 2019
Hamandi and colleagues reviewed outcomes for 95 patients who underwent isolated tricuspid valve (TV) surgery between 2007 and 2017 at their institution. For 41% of patients, the procedure was reoperative, following either prior coronary artery bypass grafting or prior valve surgery. Valve repair was performed in over 70% of patients.
